Plant City has been a town since 1885, and the downtown historic district holds homes from the early 1900s. Out on the acreage, plenty of buildings have stood for decades. Old farm houses sag, and pole barns rot at the posts. Block garages and old mobile homes get left behind when the land changes hands. We handle demolition on all of it. Florida rain comes hard and fast, and rural lots hold water. We install drainage systems to move it. That can mean a french drain along a low side, or a swale cut across the lot. On bigger parcels, a retention pond takes the runoff. We dig ponds with the excavator and use the spoil as fill. For a house or a shop, we build the pad. Fill dirt gets delivered and spread, then compacted in lifts. We set stem walls and rebar, and we run trenches for drainage and utility lines. By the time the builder shows up, the pad is set and the ground is compacted.
